SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst, M&A assists with the completion of various internal management reports related to the company’s strategic initiatives.  The Financial Analyst, M&A reports to the Strategic Planning Manager and will assist in gathering data for development of financial analysis of potential mergers and acquisitions.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with the completion of detailed M&A transaction models and perform complex valuation and financial analysis
  • Research and gather information to support presentations for board meetings and investor conferences, inclusive of peer analysis, market trends and industry benchmarks
  • Evaluate and develop reports that assist management in decisions related to the company’s capital structure
  • Perform analysis and financial research to validate results and ensure accurate reporting
  • Contributes with the collecting and analyzing of data for due diligence related to potential acquisitions
  • Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance or Accounting
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • General business and finance acumen
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Project management skills required
  • Some travel (both domestic and international) may be required
 
Desired:
  • Experience in financial analysis within a corporate financial or a business unit
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
 
 Skills/Competencies:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
