SUMMARY:
The Financial Integration Systems Analyst is responsible for a variety of world wide, technical and administrative work in the development, installation, and maintenance of financial business transaction and information technology system solutions.  This position liaises and coordinates with the Corporate Controller group on accounting issues, and assists the Integration Controller with setting up accounting processes, and policy and procedure development.
 
The Financial Integration Systems Analyst works closely with the Finance team to ensure that strategic and financial objectives of the organization are being met.  Travel is required within this role.  The Financial Integration Systems Analyst reports to the Integration Controller.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Under the direction of the Integration Controller, acts as a key resource for financial development of ERP systems,including creation and development of reports.
  • Under the direction of the Integration Controller; Facilitate implementation of financial systems and processes to align with NN standards in the areas of finance, accounting, SEC reporting, internal controls, and ad hoc reporting
  • Plans, schedules, organizes, and reports on the tasks and resources required to accomplish defined objectives of specific finance, costing, financial reporting and/or operational projects.
  • Works with the Integration Controller to determines work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedites workflow, studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of financial ERP system operations.
  • Ensures Financial sections of the QAD/MFG Pro ERP system are compliant with internal controls and internal and external financial reporting; works closely with the company’s internal audit compliance program
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to optimize the financial close process.  These projects include information systems improvements as well as creating efficiencies with manual processes.
  • Provides end user support as a technical financial system resource
  • Work on specialized projects and performs extra duties as assigned
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
 
Required:
·         Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
·         Minimum of five (5) years in accounting
·         Minimum of five (5) years in manufacturing environment
·         Minimum of two (2) years as a key user in an ERP environment
·         Minimum of one (1) years writing work instructions and process documents
·         High degree of proficiency in Excel and reasonable proficiency in Access
·         Travel will be required with this position, sometimes in excess of 40%
 
Desired:
·         Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment
·         Key user experience with QAD/MFG Pro
·         Experience with cost accounting, product line profitability, and variance analysis
 
Skills/Competencies:
  • Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures including GAAP, FASB and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
  • Experience with large-scale ERP’s and reporting tools (e.g., QAD/MFG Pro, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Hyperion, HFM/Essbase)
  • Excellent data mining and analysis skills; ability to collect, interpret and analyze data and present logical conclusions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
