The Sales Forecasting Manager is responsible for working with Sales, Operations, Marketing, Customer Service and Engineering to ensure that the product needs of NN’s customers are effectively forecasted, planned, communicated and satisfied.  The Sales Forecasting Manager plays a critical role in representing the needs and perspective of the field sales group internally; as well as in effectively communicating relevant end market data, trends, and shifts to help manage our business plan.  Serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all matters pertaining to sales forecasting.  The Sales Forecasting Manager reports directly to the Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer.
  •  Collaborates with global sales force to market the companies brand and value proposition to current and target customers
  • Works with the CCO and global sales force to manage annual sales budget and monthly forecasting processes
  • Manages the sales forecast system, processes and procedures, provides training as needed
  • Continually pursues knowledge regarding trends and best practices in demand forecasting as the internal subject matter expert. Works with IT to manage and develop the internal online forecasting tool to best facilitate internal and external needs. Works with IT and Buyers/Planners to develop the forecast software tool.
  • Presents forecasting accuracy analyses and insights to senior management to determine opportunities for process and accuracy improvement
  • Facilitates and actively participates in weekly, monthly and quarterly sales, production and inventory meetings with Sales, Marketing, and Operations.  Assists with marketing campaigns as needed
  • Studies end markets to identify areas to apply our value-added position to drive new sales opportunities
  •  Analyzes market trends and recommends changes to marketing and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback
  • Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and share of market performance in relation to pre-set standards and to general and specific trends within the industry and the economy
·         Bachelor’s Degree is required
·         Minimum of five to seven years’ experience in a forecasting process role
·         Sound business judgment – able to interpret issues and recommend actions to best support group, division and corporate goals
·         Analytical skills – able to consolidate diverse information, identify relevant data, recommend and implement corrective actions
·         Ability to interpret data and translate into actionable presentations and other sales materials
·         Able to work cross functionally and across all operating groups
·         Ability to manage, prioritize and complete multiple projects
·         Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
·         Masters’ Degree or MBA a plus
·         Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills – able to make a strong business case and turn results into actions
·         Motivated self-starter with exceptional verbal and written communication skills – able to communicate effectively with internal and external teams
·         Knowledgeable on manufacturing process technologies across the entire company
·         Ability to work independently under tight deadlines with careful attention to detail and follow-through
·         Must be self-motivated and have a drive to excel
·         Ability to appropriately handle confidential material
