The Tax Manager is responsible for managing NN’s tax compliance and tax planning processes.  Responsibilities include managing the quarterly and annual tax process for the Company as well as working closely with senior financial management on tax risk mitigation and developing tax structuring.  The Tax Manager will work closely with the Company’s external tax advisors in carrying out the duties of this role.  The Tax Manager reports directly to the VP, Chief Accounting Officer & Corporate Controller.
  • Manage activities related to the tax functions; coordinate tax accounting and tax portion of external reporting for all operations, both internally and with external tax partners
  • Review and analyze current tax structure; identify risks and develop mitigation plans, with the guidance of external tax partners and senior financial management
  • Assist and advise VP Chief Accounting Officer/Corporate Controller and senior management with tax planning and organization of NN subsidiaries for maximum tax efficiency
  • Work closely with the Company’s third-party tax advisors in the preparation of annual US and state tax returns
  • Review the tax provision preparation at NN, Inc.’s international locations
  • Research technical tax issues (domestic and international), including treaty law for tax compliance and accounting aspects.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • A total of 5-10 years’ relevant experience in tax compliance and structuring
  • International tax experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in public accounting (Big 4 or international firm) and in the tax department at a publicly-traded corporation preferred
  • Knowledge of US Tax Code and application of the Code in a corporate setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in standard Microsoft Office applications (Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
