NN, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Reporting Senior Accountant specializing in SEC Reporting to join our fast-growing organization! This role will be based out of our new Corporate Headquarters located in Charlotte, North Carolina and report directly to the Sr. Finance Manager - SEC Reporting.

SUMMARY:
The Financial Reporting Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting in the preparation of external financial reports on Forms 10-K and 10-Q in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting standards. The Financial Reporting Senior Accountant is also responsible for performing aspects of the quarterly and yearly close process as well as providing support on other SEC filings and assisting with the implementation of new accounting standards.  
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in the preparation of annual and quarterly SEC filings
  • Prepare requisite schedules for annual and quarterly SEC filings
  • Manage Wdesk platform including rolling forward of document and linking of values
  • Serve as a resource for XBRL tagging
  • Provide support on other SEC filings such as Form 8-K, proxies, and registration statements, as needed
  • Assist the Manager, SEC Reporting, in coordinating with the Finance team to provide timely reporting to internal and external auditors and management
  • Assist the Manager, SEC Reporting, in providing SEC reporting guidance to management regarding ongoing matters
  • Assist in evaluating/implementing new accounting standards as well as ongoing accounting and disclosure requirements, as necessary
  • Serve as an owner of key controls in the annual and quarterly reporting process
  • Work on special projects as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years in accounting, including some experience in financial reporting
  • Minimum of 3 years of equity planning and retirement administration
  • High degree of proficiency in Excel required
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed
Desired:
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business-related field
  • Active CPA status
  • Public accounting experience
  • SEC reporting experience
  • Experience with Workiva products, including Wdesk
  • Experience with foreign currency matters
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures including U.S. GAAP, SEC, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data and present logical conclusions
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential matters
  • Proficient in standard Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Skills/Competencies:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
