SUMMARY:
The Manager, Financial Reporting is responsible for the management of reporting functions ensuring accuracy, timeliness, relevance, and the integrity of reporting processes.  Some travel is required within this role.  The Manager, Financial Reporting reports to the Director of Finance.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the preparation, timeliness, and integrity of all financial results reports and analysis. 
  • Prepare consolidated financial reports (both internal and external) that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Coordinate budgeting and oversee financial forecasting.
  • Timely and accurate information integration with corporate systems.
  • Research and resolve accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new accounting pronouncements to ensure US GAAP and IAS compliance.
  • Prepare variance and key ratio analysis and other ad hoc analyses to explain fluctuations in financial results.
  • Manage the effort to develop pricing guidance and provide pricing analysis.
  • Manage and develop direct and indirect staff.
  • Project based assignments that will assist in meeting departmental and divisional objectives.
  • Special projects and / or other duties as assigned.
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related curriculum.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ plus relevant experience in reporting and financial planning/analysis.
  • Some travel (both domestic and international) will be required.
Desired:
  • CPA, MBA or Masters’ of Accounting.
  • Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with cost accounting, product line profitability, and variance analysis.
 
Skills/Competencies:
  • Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures including GAAP, FASB and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Experience with large-scale ERP’s and reporting tools.
  • Excellent data mining and analysis skills; ability to collect, interpret and analyze data, and present logical conclusions.
  • Knowledge of macroeconomic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
