NN, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Business Excellence Partner to join our fast-growing Business Excellence Team! This role will be based out of our corporate headquarters located in Charlotte, NC and report directly to the OS & Business Excellence Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
The Business Excellence Partner is responsible for identifying, facilitating, managing and leading multiple projects that improves operational efficiency and business processes. Responsible for embracing and driving lean enterprise systems throughout the organization to effectively drive cost out, capture cost avoidance, leverage best practices, and lead continuous improvement teams. Must be able to travel up to 60% of the time for deployment across functions and operations as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identifies and leads process improvement projects through the facilitation of Value Stream Mapping Current and Future State Maps to drive continuous improvement and cultural change
  • Maximizes improvement and cost savings by proactively identifying areas for improvement, leading continuous improvement and supply chain initiatives and projects, utilizing lean tools and techniques, analyzing and reporting key metrics, communication, continuous improvement activities and training team members to accomplish the same
  • Carries out advanced data collection and statistical analysis, and performing cost analysis to determine project feasibility; analyzes and implements recommendations
  • Develops tactical plans and achieves project goals; drives solutions to completion
  • Troubleshoots and resolves advanced complex process issues
  • Drives implementation and optimization of Operating System (OS) to continually improve operations and measure sustain improvements achieved
  • Mentors process owners on change management and cross functional alignment
  • Interacts with functional leaders to ensure effective understanding, buy-in, and integration of common business systems; facilitates sharing of best practices
  • Establishes key working relationships with senior leaders to develop and maintain continued focus on process simplification and optimization through operational excellence
  • Works closely with internal stakeholders to drive projects to on-time, successful completion
  • Extended travel facilities is required to support business needs
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related experience
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a Lean manufacturing driving Kaizens and continuous improvement processes
  • Lead train the trainer sessions for Value Stream Mapping, TPM, Setup Reduction, Continuous Flow, 5S, Error Proofing, End to End Pull, Standardized Work, Warehouse Slotting and Profiling, and Six Sigma Black Belt Training
  • Demonstrated experience with large projects
  • Capability to quickly establish credibility, influencing individuals at all levels
  • Experience with a global manufacturing environment preferred
  • Proven strong conceptual and planning skills to analyze projects of broad and diverse scope
  • Understands the cost impact of projects, project tracking tools and metrics
  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations – develop plans and obtain concurrence
  • Must be willing and able to travel a minimum of 60% (domestically and internationally)
Desired:
  • PMP Certification
  • Master’s in Business Administration, or similar advanced degree
  • Fluency in Spanish, Chinese, French, or Polish
Skills/Competencies:
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to form collaborative teams, and influence the teams while working on continuous improvement projects
  • General knowledge of available sources of pertinent business information, analytical skills to evaluate this information and communications skills to prepare / present presentations.
  • Ability to think strategically with excellent quantitative skills
  • Ability to work with large columns of process data to determine CI project using DOE, and statistical methods.
  • Excellent organization and follow-up through.
  • Detailed-oriented and able to multi-task
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Advanced Excel and Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, Word and Minitab)
CERTIFICATION/TRAINING:
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt or Master Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
