The Financial Planning & Analysis and Investor Relations Manager is responsible for ensuring the Company achieves its financial objectives through accurate and timely receipt, analysis and validation of financial results. Further, this role communicates these results to shareholders, institutional investors, and other internal and external parties. Regular travel is required for this role. The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager reports primarily to the SVP/CFO, and additionally to the President and CEO for investor relations duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage monthly and quarterly reporting duties; works with site and segment finance teams to ensure close is complete
  • Perform analysis and financial research to validate results and ensure accurate reporting
  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of the Company’s annual business plan (budget) and participate in strategic planning process
  • Ensure operational accounting accuracy and completeness with specific focus on inventory costing, product line profitability and variance analysis
  • Collaborates with the senior leadership team to maintain a good public image of the Company regarding its activities and financial performance, through communication with investment bankers, investors, ratings agencies, and regulatory authorities
  • Leads the use of statistical targeting to identify good-fit institutional investors • Participates in and supports investor presentations and discussions
  • Educates/updates investors and analysts; informs shareholders about the Company
  • Leads the effort to find, support, and encourage prospective investors by broadening awareness and interest through conferences, presentations, meetings, media, and mailings
  • Prepares press releases, conference call scripts, annual meeting scripts and related materials
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, marketing, business, corporate communications or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in reporting and financial planning and analysis including experience in a public-company setting • Extensive experience reporting to/communicating with boards of directors, investment bankers, investors, ratings agencies, and/or regulatory authorities
  • Domestic and international travel


Desired:
  • CPA, MBA or MAcc.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with cost accounting, product line profitability, and variance analysis
